3. Insufficient financial capacity. Not just having the funds, but documenting them in a form an officer can verify quickly.

4. Expired or missing supporting documents. A valid document that lapses before processing is a refusal you handed to them.

5. Accompanying family members. Applying with a spouse and dependants from day one raises the perceived risk of the entire file.

The fix is coherence, not paperwork volume

IRCC's 2025 data confirms it: applicants whose chosen program clearly continued their prior study or work history were approved at higher rates. A master's after a related bachelor's is a clear path. An unexplained pivot is a red flag.

A strong first application tells one story. Your education history leads to this program. This program leads to a specific career. That career explains why you are investing this money now. Gaps need explanation. Field changes need justification. More documents do not fix an incoherent story.
